Dr Angela Pang is a Senior Medical Oncologist at OncoCare Cancer Centre and a Visiting Consultant at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS). She is known for her compassionate, personalised care and has over 20 years of extensive experience in managing breast cancer, gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, rare cancers such as sarcomas, and general oncology. Her practice focuses on supporting patients through their cancer journey with evidence-based treatment and clear, empathetic communication.

With a career built on both clinical expertise and dedication to innovation in cancer care, Dr Pang has helped patients across a wide range of ages and backgrounds from young adults to older patients with multiple medical conditions. Dr Pang completed her medical degree (MBBS) and medical oncology training at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and National University Hospital (NUH). She was awarded the NCIS Research Scholarship to pursue a Sarcoma Fellowship under global expert Professor Robert G. Maki at the Tisch Cancer Institute in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. She also completed advanced training in Geriatric Oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York)
focusing on the care of older cancer patients.

Before joining OncoCare, Dr Pang was a Medical Oncology Consultant at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore, where she also led the Musculoskeletal (Sarcoma) Oncology team, providing multidisciplinary service for both paediatric and adult sarcoma patients. Dr Pang is deeply committed to the care of older adults with cancer and was awarded a million-dollar grant for research aimed at improving cancer care in the elderly. She subsequently founded Singapore’s first GOLDEN (Geriatric Oncology Longitudinal End-to-End) program in the National University Hospital. The GOLDEN program ensures that seniors receive age-appropriate, multidisciplinary cancer care tailored to their health and goals, while serving as a platform for research collaborations on cancer in older adults. Dr Pang has contributed chapters in oncology textbooks and is a co-editor of the Springer textbook on Clinical Management of Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors – a practical reference for doctors managing sarcomas.

Dr Pang has been actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She has received several awards for teaching excellence and was appointed Assistant Professor for the Faculty of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at National University of Singapore (NUS). She has also served as a principal investigator in international oncology clinical trials and is a recipient of several research grants. Her research work has been published in highly regarded medical journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology, JAMA Oncology, and Nature Communications. Her work on cancer care and translational medicine has been presented at international conferences, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS).

Dr Pang is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Hokkien, and is conversant in Malay and Bahasa Indonesia. She regularly cares for local and overseas patients from Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Myanmar, Mongolia, Canada and beyond. She takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, provides clear treatment explanations, and works closely with families to ensure the best possible outcomes.
